Obiano gets certificate of return

 INEC officer granted bail
THE Anambra State governor-elect, Chief Willie Maduabuchi Obiano took another step into the Government House when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) handed over to him the Certificate of Return as the winner of the state governorship election. 
  Meanwhile, an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court Monday admitted to bail an embattled official of the INEC, Chukwujekwu Okeke, who is standing trial for alleged official misconduct which tainted the governorship election in Anambra State held on November 16, 2013.
  Presenting the certificate on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, the INEC Federal Commissioner in charge of Enugu, Ebony and Anambra states, Lawrence Nwuruku, congratulated Obiano, thanking him and his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for their conduct during the election. 
  Okeke (54 years) who served as the Electoral Officer for Idemili North Local Council during the election was arraigned on November 25 by the police on a one count charge of dereliction of duty contrary to Section 123 (1) (2) and (3) of the Electoral Act, 2010.
